In the classroom we have been working on the letter N. Here, Cheryl is guiding the formation of the letter N with string and blocks.
In math we are studying measurement, measuring our heights and our favorite toys. We have been using these number cards to count and learn about patterns in nature.
In story time, we are listening to the Grimm’s fairy tale, “Star Money,” a beautiful story where a little girl who has lost everything in the world goes out into the street and meets those in need. She gives away her earthly possessions and in the end she is rewarded with gold coins from the stars, and with a golden robe. She is rich for the rest of her days.
In science we studied who lives in bark; we gathered bark from outside and examined it for little critters. We made a chart of the bugs we found who make a home in the bark.
In art, we painted our bird house with bright colors.
